You can go to your college’s Adult Education office during the week of June 10 – June 14 to pick up your cap and gown.
The ceremony is Saturday, June 15, 2024 at UIC Forum. UIC Forum is located at 1213 South Halsted Street in Chicago. Enter through the main security doors on Roosevelt and Halsted.
The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. sharp. It’s expected to end around 12:15 p.m.
City Colleges of Chicago’s high school diploma earners in the Adult Education department will be recognized at the Illinois High School Diploma Recognition Ceremony.
No. Guests do not need tickets to attend.
No. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
Students should arrive between 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. for check-in to UIC Forum (1213 South Halsted Street) on Saturday, June 15. Come dressed in your cap and gown and meet in rooms D, E, and F. Enter through the main security doors on Roosevelt and Halsted. Line up begins at 9:45 a.m.
Please arrive at UIC Forum (1213 South Halsted Street) at 9:30 a.m. sharp in professional dress (based on feedback, adult educators will have regalia for next year’s ceremony). Enter through the main security doors on Roosevelt and Halsted. Head to meeting rooms D, E, and F for check-in. You will process in with the students from your college.
Doors open for guests at 9:15 a.m. Enter through the main security doors on Roosevelt and Halsted.

High School Diploma Earners:
- You can park in either parking lot 5 (1135 S. Morgan) or lot 6 (1135 S. Halsted) if you have a parking pass. You can pick up one parking pass (if one was requested at RSVP) from your Adult Education office when you pick up your caps and gowns.
Faculty and Staff:
- You can pick up one parking pass to be used for either parking lot 5 (1135 S. Morgan) or lot 6 (1135 S. Halsted). Parking passes can be picked up from your Adult Education office the week of Monday, June 10.
Guests:
- $10 parking is available at the UIC Forum. Metered street parking is also available around the building between $2.50 and $4.75/hour.

Anyone entering the venue may bring a small bag that does not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. Bags may be hand carried or have a shoulder strap.
Metal detectors and a bag policy will be in place.
No helium balloons, noise makers, or strollers are allowed inside the venue for this event.
